In celebration of Patta’s 10 year anniversary, they have collaborated with the legendary streetwear brand Stussy to produce a capsule apparel collection. The collection consists of various co-branded pieces, including a fishtail parka, button up shirt, pullover tracksuit, and various graphic t-shirts, longsleeves, crewnecks and hoodies. In addition, the collection is complemented with headwear and various accessories. The full collection is set to launch January 23 at Patta Amsterdam and the Stussy New York Chapter Store, which will also host a temporary Patta Pop-Up Store with NY-exclusive items. More retailers to be announced.
Technology giant, Google is working on a smart contact lens prototype that will monitor glucose levels in tears. If successful, this revolutionary technology could end finger pricks for diabetics. A lot of factors have to be considered before we see this on the market, most importantly FDA approval.
The facts about diabetes are becoming a major concern as one in 19 people in the world are affected by it. Google’s efforts could dramatically change how people living with the disease function daily. The lens works via a tiny electronic chip and antenna that is thinner than a human hair, embedded between two layers of lens material, that reads blood sugar levels through the wearer’s tears. Testing and discussions with the FDA are under way but it could be some time before the technology becomes available to the public.

The collection will include tees, crewnecks, hoodies, and caps, that will celebrate Katz’s Deli’s 125th anniversary. Joyrich presents its latest offering from its Spring/Summer 2014 collection. The pieces in the collection are very loud, bold and very reminiscent of the late 80’s and early 90’s styles. Joyrich masters the blend of high fashion and classic street wear quite well as you can see with the jerseys, shorts sets and crews. The all over floral print has been overly done as of late, but with Joyrich’s unique style, they give it a refreshing undertaking.
