E3 2020 Has Officially Been Canceled Over Coronavirus Fears

It appears that organizers of E3, the biggest video game conference in America, have canceled the event due to the coronavirus epidemic. Although the event was supposed to take place in June in Los Angeles, the chances of holding a large scale program would be too great of an ordeal to risk with no cure for the virus.

ESA’s statement:

“After careful consultation with our member companies regarding the health and safety of everyone in our industry – our fans, our employees, our exhibitors and our longtime E3 partners – we have made the difficult decision to cancel E3 2020.”

“Following increased and overwhelming concerns about the COVID-19 virus, we felt this was the best way to proceed during such an unprecedented global situation. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our fans and supporters. But we know it’s the right decision based on the information we have today.”

ESA will be reaching out directly to exhibitors and attendees of the event about giving refunds. On the bright side, there are plans to produce an online event to provide the latest news and announcements in June.

Golden State To Play Brooklyn Without Fans In Attendance

The Coronavirus has inevitably struck the NBA as rising concerns have prompted the Warriors to host the Nets with fans being banned from the arena. Ticket holders who planned to attend the game will be issued a refund as well.

Warriors team president Rick Welts met with San Francisco Mayor London Breed on Wednesday morning where the decision was made with approval by NBA.

The San Francisco Health Office ordered all events that could hold 1,000 or more people to be prohibited. The Warriors also announced that other events at the Chase Center through March 21 — consisting of three concerts and a G League game — would be canceled or postponed.

‘A Quiet Place Part II’ Introduces A New Character

The premier of John Krasinski‘s A Quiet Place Part II hits theaters this month and Paramount Pictures has given us a glimpse of a new character from the film named Emmett, played by Cillian Murphy.

Judging by the look of the character, you can tell Emmett has seen some things in his life. His survivor mentality and willingness to live in solitude has gotten him to where he is in the film. In the featurette, Emmett meets Evelyn Abbott (Emily Blunt) and her newborn for the first time, but he refuses to help because more people equals more noise.

The beauty of Cillian’s character was that there’s so much loss in his life. He doesn’t feel the need to be a part of any community. He’s actually a representation of the rest of the world. There’s a darkness to him and there’s a fear level to him that makes him unpredictable.
