The Off-White x Air Jordan 5 “Sail” Has Surfaced

The second installment of Virgil Abloh’s Off-White Jordan 5 series will be releasing soon. Abloh previewed a sample of a pair dubbed “Plot Twist” a few months ago that looked quite different than the pic above.

This “Sail” colorway gives us a first look at what the silhouette will look like upon release which shows a different sole than what was previously seen. These Air Jordan 5’s will now show a “Fire Red” sole as opposed to the white sole from the initial photo that was shown months back. Added touches include Virgil’s signature yellow tinchture to the translucent spots that give off an aged look. The “Sail” will also have the holes at the mid foot and ankle that the wearer would be able to cut out. Although there is no release date as of yet, the speculation is that these could potentially drop before the year is over.

The Balenciaga Speed Trainer Gets An Upgrade

To say Balenciaga‘s Speed Trainer was a success would definitely be an understatement. The popular silhouette has found a way to penetrate mainstream fashion and is even referenced in Cardi B’s “I Like It.” Now, the fashion house introduces an upgraded version with the Speed 2.0.

Demna Gvasalia designed the Balenciaga Speed 2.0 which doesn’t stray too far away from the aesthetic of the first model. The silhouette still keeps its 3D-knitted sock upper as well as the sole but this time around, comfort and flexibility are at the forefront.

An more defined molded sole enhances the overall unit to provide better agility without sacrificing its strength. The Speed 2.0 also features five segments in the sole which adds more support to each part of the foot as opposed to just one-piece from the previous model.

Colorways for the new Balenciaga Speed 2.0 can be found in triple black, gray, tan and black-and-white. Head over to Balenciaga’s online shop and in select retailers to purchase. Prices range from $825 USD to $895 USD.

Banksy’s Latest Artwork Vandalized By Cleaners

Banksy’s latest artwork, If You Don’t Mask, You Don’t Get, has recently been accidentally scrubbed by the cleaners. Ironically, the British artist had disguised himself as a London Underground cleaner to put up the art piece.

This particular piece is a public service announcement that encourages citizens to wear a mask to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Banksy posted the artwork via his Instagram prompting an intense search from fans to find it. There is now confirmation by the Evening Standard that the real London Underground cleaners have removed the priceless artwork.

When we saw the video, we started to look into it and spoke to the cleaners. It started to emerge that they had noticed some sort of ‘rat thing’ a few days ago and cleaned it off, as they should.

The deletion of the artwork has, of course, sparked outrage with many defending the elusive artist.

Official Images Of The Grateful Dead Bears x Nike SB Dunk Low “Green” | Release Date

**UPDATE 07/14/20**

The Grateful Dead Bears x Nike SB Dunk Low now has a release date of July 24.

The Grateful Dead Bears x Nike SB Dunk Low is the result of a collaborative effort from Nike and it’s homage to Grateful Dead’s 1973 album, History of the Grateful Dead, Volume One (Bear’s Choice). The album was illustrated by Bob Thomas in which he debuted teddy bear characters with color schemes similar to the SB silhouette.

Features of this sneaker include a suede upper with faux fur displayed on the side panels, collar and toe box. Much different from previous Nike SB models is this silhouette has a Swoosh that’s made in a zigzag pattern that’s just like the bear character’s collar. Rounding out the design is a unique stash pocket embedded in the tongue.

No release date is set in stone but check out the pics above in the mean time.
