DIOR x AIR JORDAN 1 LOW

Accompanying the upcoming Dior x Air Jordan 1 High is a low-cut version of the exclusive (and we predict illusive) silhouette which will also be dropping this Spring as well. Details include a clean white and grey leather upper with “Air Dior” branding on the tongues and wings logo on the heel. The swoosh logo gets an all- over Dior print displayed on the sides along with both brand names displayed on the icy translucent outsole.

Changes to the 2020 NBA ALL-STAR Format + Kobe Tribute

There were some major changes announced by the NBA pertaining to the All-Star format this year. Apparently every quarter would be a mini-game for charity and the final quarter would be untimed with a target score that will decide which team wins. Scores will be reset — back to 0-0 — at the start of the second and third quarters, then restored to begin the fourth quarter.

In addition to All-Star format changes, The NBA plans to honor Kobe Bryant by incorporating the No. 24 jersey he wore for the last decade of his illustrious NBA career into the scoring format of the game. The team that wins the All-Star Game will be the first to reach a target score, determined by the total points the team in the lead scored in the first three quarters combined — plus 24, to show respect to Bryant.

The NBA stated that there will be a multitude of tributes to Bryant, his 13 year old daughter, Gianna, and the seven other people who tragically lost their lives in Sunday’s helicopter crash throughout All-Star weekend, including the showcase game on Feb. 16.

“We spent a lot of time considering the right target number to use for the fourth quarter,” said Byron Spruell, the NBA’s president for league operations. “Through the events of this week it became clear to us that the only appropriate number for this season’s All-Star game is 24.”

The target scoring format would be the latest addition that the NBA has made in order to make the game more competitive.

THE OLYMPICS WILL NOT BAN THE NIKE ZOOMX VAPORFLY NEXT% AFTER ALL

The Nike ZoomX VaporFly NEXT% has definitely made it’s mark in running by putting emphasis on performance. Along with the cool aesthetic that the silhouette has, the ZoomX also has various components used to create the product we see today.

The Vaporweave on the upper is light as well as water-resistant and the pairing of the extended ZoomX foam cushioning and carbon fiber plate reduces fatigue so that energy can be preserved.

With the 2020 Tokyo Olympics approaching, The Guardian reports that World Athletics (formerly the International Association of Athletics Federation) stated that the shoe, and similar shoes with a carbon fiber plate, will not be banned from competition.

World Athletics also announced that brands can’t introduce new technology pertaining to sneakers ahead of the Summer games. Accordingly, brands will also have to submit any prototypes of future footwear to avoid approval confusion.

Burberry has just released one of their latest pieces in the Barwick Jacket. The British label infuses the now famous deer print onto a plush, quilted down jacket, which also features a recycled outer layer for sustainability.

The shell of the jacket is made from recycled nylon that’s officially known as “ECONYL®,” a material that is engineered out of synthetic waste materials such as plastic and old fabric. It’s then covered all around with the quirky animal print, lending neutral shades of tan, brown and white throughout. OFF-WHITE X AIR JORDAN 5 |Release Info.

Virgil Abloh introduced “The Ten” collection with Nike back in 2017 and ever since then it seemed that the sneaker industry shifted in a way that was geared more towards creativity than just putting out colorways. Abloh’s design scheme seemed to focus on the deconstructed aspects of the sneaker as we saw almost a “rough completion” of the overall silhouette that really made it stand out from a normal or general release.

The collab on the Jordan 5 model features Abloh’s signature design on the classic “Metallic Black” makeover utilizing a slightly translucent upper, with holes added on the mid-foot caging, ankle area and along the left side of the tongue. The traditional Beaverton, Oregon branding can be seen in it’s usual spot on the side under the cage. For those looking to pick up a pair, they will be releasing on Nike.com and at select retailers for $225 during NBA All-Star Weekend on February 15th.
