Rihanna Is Officially A Billionaire

Robyn Fenty, better known as Rihanna, joins elite company as the newest billionaire with an estimated $1.7 billion net worth.

I’m addition to Rihanna’s stellar music career, the launch of her Fenty Beauty line in 2017 is what catapulted the singer/entrepreneur into the billionaire stratosphere. The epic milestone puts the Barbados native as the wealthiest female musician in the world and second wealthiest female entertainer, behind Oprah Winfrey.

Fenty Beauty shares a 50-50 joint venture with French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH which is headed by Bernard Arnault, who has just recently jumped ahead of Jeff Bezos as the world’s richest person in the world. The cosmetics line is available online and at LVMH-owned Sephora stores.

“A lot of women felt there were no lines out there that catered to their skin tone. It was light, medium, medium dark, dark. We all know that’s not reality. She was one of the first brands that came out and said, ‘I want to speak to all of those different people.’”

RIP To The Legend, DMX (December 18, 1970- April 9, 2021)

News broke earlier in the week that iconic Ruff Ryders rapper and actor DMX was hospitalized in grave condition. Sadly, the Yonkers MC has passed at the age of 50, leaving behind a music legacy that generations past, present and future will appreciate.

Born Earl Simmons, DMX burst onto the scene in 1998 with his critically acclaimed album It’s Dark And Hell Is Hot which landed at the number 1 spot on the Billboard 200 and never looked back after that. X would later drop his follow-up album Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood which also landed at the number 1 spot.

X’s enthusiastic and personable persona opened doors in the acting realm, securing roles in Romeo Must Die, Exist Wounds and the cult classic Belly in which he starred alongside Nas. No stranger to controversy, DMX had his fair share of drama and showed that the sun doesn’t always shine but he fought his way through the turmoil and shared his pain with his fans through his music.

Being a fighter for most of his life, The Darkman can finally take it easy knowing his mark in music is forever solidified. Rest In Peace.
