Nordstrom to Launch Secondhand Clothing Shop

Nordstrom is trying it’s hand at reselling by opening a secondhand luxury store in it’s New York flagship store. This venture will follow in the footsteps of other traditional retailers to experiment with the fast-growing resale market.

Referred to as “See You Tomorrow,” this experience plans to open this Friday, January 31. Secondhand items available for purchase will come from brands such as Off-White, adidas, Burberry, Thom Brown, and more. Have products of your own? Nordstrom will be accepting pre-owned products from customers in exchange for store gift cards.

With this experience you will see brands in a designated space, both in store and online and will open the door for collaborations with partners like Nike, Burberry and Celine.

Nordstrom plans to do a six month trial for this venture which could be extended if all goes well.

Burberry’s Beige Down ECONYL® Barwick Jacket

Burberry has just released one of their latest pieces in the Barwick Jacket. The British label infuses the now famous deer print onto a plush, quilted down jacket, which also features a recycled outer layer for sustainability.

The shell of the jacket is made from recycled nylon that’s officially known as “ECONYL®,” a material that is engineered out of synthetic waste materials such as plastic and old fabric. It’s then covered all around with the quirky animal print, lending neutral shades of tan, brown and white throughout. Other details include a two-way zip-front closure, pockets at the waist and interior, and tonal hardware for a streamlined look. It’s finished off with a black and white logo patch on the chest for a hit of branding.

Burberry’s Beige Down ECONYL® Barwick Jacket is priced at $1,790 USD and available now at SSENSE’s webstore.

The Marathon Continues and PUMA Re-release

Lauren London recently shared a couple photos featuring items that will be included in the collaboration with PUMA. One pic is of some of the late great Nipsey Hussle’s closest friends in YG, J. Stone, and Pacman da Gunman. The other shows London wearing a white shirt with a graphic that reads:

“We (The Marathon Clothing) honor the endurance and unwavering faith of those that never quit. Our products represent their testimony. Life is a marathon.”

According to PUMA, this 2020 release collab with The Marathon Clothing showcases key pieces from the original collection, including tracksuits and t-shirts featuring checkered patterns and aspects of the TMC brand. Look out for sneakers in black and white colorways as well.

This collaboration will drop on February 1 at select retailers and on PUMA’s website online. A portion of the proceeds will go to the Neighborhood “Nip” Foundation.
