The official trailer to The Batman premiered during DC FanDome and gave more details as to what the film would be about.
The film picks up about a year or two into Bruce Wayne being Batman and touches a little on his origin. The trailer also shows a fight sequence so brutal that it could give Affleck’s Batman a run for his money. The riddler seems to be the main villain with The Penguin making an emergence also. We also see Zoe Kravitz’s take on her Cat Woman character.
The film is directed by Matt Reeves and hits theaters on October 1, 2021.
A new trailer for Wonder Woman 1984 has just been revealed during the DC FanDome showcase. The trailer is filled additional footage from the film and even includes a first look at Kristin Wiig as The Cheetah.
The movie is set to hit theaters on October 2, 2020.
In an interview with GQ, actor Ben Affleck revealed that the reason he left his role as Batman in the DCEU was due to his loss of passion for the character.
Affleck states that he didn’t realize how big the role was when he initially accepted it stating, “I don’t think I even realized how iconic the character was until I took the job and that was a big story.” The Town actor also says, “It happened at a time when the Internet was expanding into the movie business in a different kind of a way and the fan sites and the relationship with the fans and the studios and the comic book creators was changing and evolving.”
Continuing: “I had my fill of that. They said, ‘Would you want to direct and star in a solo Batman movie?’ I found that I had lost my enthusiasm or passion for it. This should really be made by somebody for whom it’s their wildest dream come true and, for me, it had become something different and it was clear to me that it was time to move on. But I do have some really fond memories, particularly of Batman v Superman, and how exciting that was. And how energizing it was and how much fun we had.”
The upcoming ‘Batman’ film seems to be more grounded this go-round as opposed to big cgi focused films of the past. The leaked pictures we have been seeing floating around the ‘net give off a ‘Batman Begins’ vibe, more Christopher Nolan than Tim Burton. It seems as though director Matt Reeves wants to keep the film as minimalistic as possible while staying true to the aesthetic of the Batman comics and it’s easy to tell by the newest image of the Batmobile.
Reeves shared a few pics of how he’s going to portray the legendary car via his twitter account. The car gives off a rugged muscle car type of vibe which is far different from the last time we saw the Batmobile in ‘Justice League’ or even further back in Nolan’s films where the cars were more tank-like. You can also see another shot of the Batsuit as well.
The newest installment opens in theaters on June 25, 2021.
We recently showed a video screen test of Robert Pattinson’s Batsuit. Although the footage was brief, we now have a more detailed look of what, at least, one of the suits will look like. New leaked set photos reveal what appears to be the best look of the costume in Matt Reeves‘s upcoming movie which seems to be taking place during the day and shows Batman on his bike. The collar is still on the suit and no cape, however it could be CGI’d in in post production.
The design is detailed oriented with distinct plating on the chest and shoulder area. As mention above, the new Batcycle, features may ears that look similar to the ‘Caped Crusader’s’ iconic cowl. There are also goggles or dark tinted lenses over the eyes of the cowl.
There’s always speculation and rumblings about what the cinematic Batman’s suit will look like and whether or not it will fit well with the actors chin.
Director Matt Reeves has revealed a screen test of the new Batman Robert Pattinson equipped in his suit for the upcoming ‘The Batman’ film.
The suit looks to have armored plating similar to the Arkham video games from Rocksteady studios. Overall, it seems to fit the actor well, but we’ll save judgment until June 25, 2021 when the films is released.
