Tony Hawk Joins Vans As Global Brand Ambassador

Professional Skateboarding legend and icon Tony Hawk will be joining Vans as its newest global ambassador.

In addition to promoting Vans as a global brand, Hawk will also produce an all-new professional vert skateboarding competition.

Vans has supported skateboarding since the very beginning, and never wavered in its commitment, even with massive mainstream success. I have always respected their integrity, so it is an honor to officially join forces and help continue to grow skateboarding culture in the most authentic way possible.

Nike Debuts New Kobe Bryant Sneaker

Nike quietly unveiled a new Kobe Bryant silhouette with the Mamba Fury. This model is Kobe’s first new silhouette since his untimely passing back in January.

The Mamba Fury will arrive in “Black/Red” and a “Black/White,” featuring details like snake-like scales on a mesh upper and a dropped Swoosh on the midsole.

No official release date has been set but pairs are set to arrive a select retailers in the coming weeks.

Air Jordan 6 DMP (Defining Moments Package) Plus Release Date

The Air Jordan 6 DMP first released in January 2006 as part of a two pack that included sneakers Michael Jordan wore during his championship run in 1991 and 1996.

Now, the Air Jordan DMP (Defining Moments Package) is all set for a release on April 18th. Recognized for its black and gold colorway that is only rivaled by its ‘Infrared’ colorway of the same model, has since become one of the most sought after color palettes. The Jordan 6 DMP comes with a golden dog-tag that features the date of His Airness’ first NBA title in ’91, and will have the “2020” mark on the insole, which sets it apart from the 2006 version.

The Air Jordan 6 DMP will get a full size run on Nike SNKRS and other Jordan retailers on April 18, 2020.

Nike Fear Of God 1 “Triple Black” Plus Release Date

Thought to be releasing on Valentine’s Day but to no avail, The Nike Air Fear of God 1 ‘Triple Black’ now seems to have a release date set in stone… for now.

Everything about this silhouette is just as the name suggests, TRIPLE BLACK. The mixture of different materials really makes the different panels of black stand out from the mesh and luxe suede accents on the toe area to the branding, laces and cage covering the side and heel areas.

April 25 seems to be the release date so far at a price of $350 USD at select Nike and Fear of God retailers.

Air Jordan 1 Low “Galaxy”

The Air Jordan 1 Low, Mid and High has quietly positioned itself as one of the top silhouettes as of late. The colorways that have come out can only be rivaled by the likes of an Air Force 1 or Nike Dunk as far as variety goes, especially with the upcoming release of these Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Galaxy.’

Summer 2020 proves to be the season of hot releases despite the COVID-19 pandemic pushing some sneakers back. If the schedule remains the same then we might also be seeing these Air Jordan 1 Low ‘Galaxy’ models in the coming months. This silhouette features a Galaxy theme filled with vibrant colors and lightning graphics seen throughout the heel, swoosh and toe box areas. Finishing off the details, and one of the standout features, happens to be the leather which resembles snake skin fabrications on the toe box leading to eyelets.

Nike Blazer Mid ’77 Vintage “Red Sketch”

Nike preps the release of it’s Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage in the ‘Red Sketch’ colorway. The Swoosh brand’s most formidable lifestyle silhouette continues to impress with each innovative and creative colorway that keeps consumers wanting more.

This sneaker features a printed red Swoosh doodled on the side, dipping down into a portion of the tan mudguard. Red Nike branding is featured on the heel area in an almost faded embellishment. The tongue tags feature the normal scrawled Nike text and logo while the words “Herringbone Design Outsole” can be seen with an arrow pointing down on the heel of the midsole.

The Nike Blazer Mid ‘77 Vintage “Red Sketch” will release at select Nike retailers on April 13 for approximately $112 USD.

Take A Look At The Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 “Canary Yellow”

It seems that the Off-White™ x Air Jordan 1 ‘Canary Yellow’ will come to fruition after all as new images have surfaced.

Virgil Abloh‘s take on the this iconic silhouette is slated to release this year which will garner just as much hype as it’s ‘Chicago’ predecessor. The ‘Canary Yellow’ version features a two-tone deconstructed upper comprised of exposed mesh, leather and suede. Virgil’s signature stitching on the Swooshes remains a mainstay on this version as well with Off-White™ branding on the medial side, laces and midsole. A matching yellow rubber outsole that matches the yellow upper rounds out the details of this sneaker.

Air Jordan 1 Mid SE ‘Lightbulb’

The Air Jordan 1 Mid SE ‘Lightbulb’ colorway was revealed back in January with many wondering when they would officially drop. We now have the latest look at these Air Jordan 1 Mids for women.

The women’s Air Jordan 1 Mid ‘Lightbulb’ will come in an assortment of colors seen throughout the uppers. The palette for these vibrant 1’s include white, neon green, pink, purple, blue, orange, yellow, and black. Along with the assortment of colors on this silhouette, there seems to be an equal number of materials used also such as leather, nubuck, suede, hairy suede, patent leather, and mesh. This silhouette also appears to have a more deconstructed look as opposed to the normal construction of Air Jordan 1’s. Rounding out the details are the Jumpman branding on the tongues and the collar featuring the iconic Wings branding.

Retailing for $190, these Air Jordan 1 Mid WMNS SE Lightbulb are scheduled to release on April 9th at select Nike retailers.

Vans Gives The OG Era LX A Paisley Print Make-Over

Vans remixes the OG Era LX sneaker by adorning the classic silhouette in paisley. Fern Green and Pompeian Red are the colorways featured, giving off warm Summer vibes and beckons for sunny days. Looking at the shoe you can see that the skateboard company drew lots of inspiration from California as it showcases colorful beach graphics on an all white midsole.

The Air Jordan 1 Mid ‘Light Ash’ Colorway

The Dior x Jordan 1 collaborative sneaker will be highly sought after and limited which will probably leave a lot of sneaker heads disappointed knowing that they will not be able to purchase. Seems like Nike is trying to fill the void by offering the next best thing in the ‘Light Ash’ colorway.

This Air Jordan 1 Mid silhouette features a “Light Ash/White/Black” color pallet on a white leather base upper with grey leather overlays. There’s also black hits on the Swooshes, Wings logos and Jumpman branding on the tongue. Rounding out the details are black laces and a white midsole, sitting on a grey rubber outsole.
