Lucien Clarke’s Louis Vuitton “A View” Skate Shoe

An official look at pro-skater Lucien Clarke’s upcoming Louis Vuitton “A View” skate shoe has just been unveiled after being teased this past summer.

The Lucien Clarke x Louis Vuitton “A View” skate shoe will come in three colorways, all-black with orange hits, an all-white with orange hits and lastly an all blue colorway. Materials used for each silhouette feature a combination of technical textiles and calf leather along with a foam and polyurethane sole.

Virgil Abloh Gives Out “Free Game” With Mentorship Series

Releasing today on Virgil Abloh’s website is the Off-White creator’s “Free Game” mentorship series. This series is an extension of Abloh’s Post-Modern Scholarship initiative, resulting in the designer creating a scholarship for Black creatives.

The “Free Game” series is free of charge and features a dedicated webpage of several YouTube links Abloh has chosen relating to the process of starting a brand. The result hopes to encourage a greater initiative to “supply Black students an education in fashion.”

Abloh has really taken the ball in being more vocal when it comes to social justice issues and has even pushed for increasing voter turnout. Check out some of the videos and head back to FRESHFLYFUTURE for more.

Virgil Abloh Wants To Encourage Voter Turnout With “Swing States” Shirts

The United States’ presidential election is right around the corner and Virgil Abloh is doing his part in encouraging voter turnout with his “Swing State” T-shirts. The tees come courtesy of his canary—yellow label and will consist of 13 states in total. The tees feature the “I Voted” graphic on the front which looks like the stickers the polls give out once you vote. The back of the shirts denote the respective state with a blue shade on the map of the US.

The 13 “swing states” represented by each shirt are Arizona, California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, New Mexico, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Texas, Virginia and Wisconsin. These are the key states that Democratic nominee Joe Biden need to win in order to beat the current President.

Made-in-Mexico tee and constructed of 50% upcycled cotton and 50% recycled polyester, these tees are constructed from five plastic bottles and .26 pounds of fabric scraps which saves 63 gallons of water. Also of note, 100% of the proceeds from each tee will be donated to Virgil Abloh’s Post-Modern Scholarship Fund, aiding Black students in their creative careers.

These tees are available for pre-order on the canary—yellow webstore for $55 USD.

New Look At The Sample Off-White™ x Nike Air Force 1 “MCA”

A sample pair of Virgil Abloh’s Nike Air Force 1 “MCA” was up for grabs on Stadium Goods. The pair was available in a size 12 and although they looked similar to the pair that were released last year, there were also subtle differences as well.

The original pair had a light blue midsole while this sample pair showcases an all black midsole. The “AIR” is still prevalent on the midsole which is painted in white. Also of note is the stitching which is now black as opposed to the blue stitching from the original.

Virgil Abloh, who we assume has a an array of unreleased samples, wore these Air Force 1’s ahead of his Paris Fashion Week runway show in 2020. Check out the images above.

The Off-White x Air Jordan 5 “Sail” Has Surfaced

The second installment of Virgil Abloh’s Off-White Jordan 5 series will be releasing soon. Abloh previewed a sample of a pair dubbed “Plot Twist” a few months ago that looked quite different than the pic above.

This “Sail” colorway gives us a first look at what the silhouette will look like upon release which shows a different sole than what was previously seen. These Air Jordan 5’s will now show a “Fire Red” sole as opposed to the white sole from the initial photo that was shown months back. Added touches include Virgil’s signature yellow tinchture to the translucent spots that give off an aged look. The “Sail” will also have the holes at the mid foot and ankle that the wearer would be able to cut out. Although there is no release date as of yet, the speculation is that these could potentially drop before the year is over.

The Off-White x Air Jordan 4 WMNS “Sail” Gets A Release Date

One of this year’s most sought after releases is Virgil Abloh’s Off-White Jordan 4 “Sail.” This soon-to-be instant classic holds all the characteristics of a Virgil Abloh sneaker, featuring Helvetica text for the “AIR” lettering, labeled “SHOELACES” and zip-ties made famous on Abloh’s “The Ten” series for Nike. This silhouette is dipped in an overall cream colorway with translucent lace eyelets, tongue, upper netting and heel-tab.

To support the Black Lives Matter movement, Virgil donated an autographed pair to be auctioned off for charity. In doing so, the pair fetched over $100,000 towards key organizations supporting the cause.
