Ai Weiwei partners with DIY store HORNBACH to create an art piece using materials from the store. Weiwei aptly named the art ‘Safety Jackets Zipped the Other Way’ which allows anyone who visits these stores to build their own version.

The piece is constructed from industrial highly visible safety jackets which are applied together using zips. A publication/art book/ assembly manual also comes with the ‘Safety Jackets Zipped the Other Way’ and can be downloaded from the HORNBACH website.
