‘One Piece’ x Kappa Capsule Collection

The popular One Piece anime series has partnered up with Kappa on a new capsule collection. This collaboration comes after the most recent One Piece collab with Puma that was released back in December of 2019.

Monkey D. Luffy, who plays the protagonist in the series serves as the focal point of this collection along with members of the Straw Hat Pirates and other characters. Together, this ensemble reimagines the Italian sportswear label’s classic Omni logo.

There will be multiple styles in the range featuring Luffy x Shanks Omni logo hoodies and a Luffy x Ace Omni logo hoodie showing One Piece‘s “TO BE CONTINUED” font displayed on the front. There’s also T-shirts featuring Zoro, Sanji and Nami with each garment coming with a co-branded bookmark tag showing Luffy wearing Kappa’s popular tracksuit.

Look for the collection to be released at Kappa Japan, the PHENIX CREATIVE SELECT STORE and One Piece Mugiwara Stores.

Air Jordan 4 “Court Purple” | Release Details

The Air Jordan 4 Court Purple will soon be making its way on to shelves this year. Hopefully general releases like these will make it easier to purchase upon initial release because we all know how resellers get down.

For this version of the Air Jordan 4 silhouette, Nike keeps the overall construction very basic as the shoe has a few purple accents on an all white upper. The tumbled white leather does a good job of making the metallic eyelet fixtures stand out and the purple sock lining and Jumpman on the tongue set the small details off.

Priced at $190, take a closer look at the pics above and head over to Nike.com and select retailers on May 14th.

Fossils Of Iconic Cartoon Characters By Filip Hodas

Filip Hodas has created a series of skulls that are inspired by some iconic cartoon characters that hold a special place in any kid’s heart. The Prague-based 3D illustrator has merged his interest in skulls with his work in CG and has crafted each skull using 3D programming. Each realistically designed skull is contrasted by a bright and colorful background.

The series features a fossilized Goofy (Canis Goofus), Tweety Bird (Canaria Tweetea), Minnie Mouse (Mus Minnius) and other characters including like SpongeBob, Scrooge McDuck and Popeye.

The main goal of this series was to get better at sculpting and to experiment with Zbrush to Substance Painter workflow, For each skull, I tried to adjust and improve the workflow which resulted in quite visible differences between the first (Canis Goofus) and last in the series (Anas Scroogius). All of the textures were procedurally made in 3D programming.

Air Jordan 5 “Alternate Grape”

The Air Jordan 5 Alternate Grape colorway has seemingly been a mystery as there have been rumblings of the shoe that dates back a year ago. So much has been planned for the 5’s already with Virgil Abloh giving us his rendition of the iconic model during NBA All-Star Weekend. Now the release of the “Alternate Grape” is coming to fruition and and is set to release next month.

This vibrant colorway gets its name from one of the more popular colorways in the Air Jordan 5 series and is constructed of a mostly suede upper in a purple hue. Other standout features of the sneaker include the aqua blue Jumpman on the tongue with matching lace locks.

Release date is scheduled for some time in April, check back for more info.

Ewing Athletics’ New 33 Hi 2.0 Model

Ewing Athletics has released its first new model, the 33 Hi 2.0. This will be the first model from the brand since 2012 when the brand was revamped. Apparently, the inspiration behind the sneaker is Patrick Ewing’s sneaker choice if he played in the NBA today.

The 33 Hi 2.0 model is much different from the iconic original silhouette that Ewing wore, however, Ewing Athletics considers this as a progression from the past to present. The sneaker is made from seamless materials, featuring red piping, neon green stitching and a mostly blue upper.

The Ewing 33 Hi 2.0 is available now for $130 USD and sold exclusively online at Ewing Athletics.
