As part of a first deal look with Disney, Colin Kaepernick will be the focal point for an upcoming docuseries via ESPN Films.
This project will center around Colin’s journey over the last 5 years which will include interviews and exclusive footage. Kaepernick’s company, Ra Vision Media, will work cohesively with The Walt Disney Co. to produce compelling content focused on “race, social injustice and the quest for equity.” Content from the deal will span across all Disney platforms, including Walt Disney Television, Pixar, ESPN, The Undefeated and Hulu.
With the first-look deal, Disney will have the right of first refusal over whatever Kaepernick and his company, Ra Vision Media, creates. Jemele Hill, who previously worked for ESPN in 2018, will produce the series. This news follows Kaepernick’s other project with film maker Ava DuVernay announced earlier this week.
