Coca-Cola Plans To Retire Weaker Selling Drinks To Revamp Portfolio

Coca-Cola Company will be making adjustments to its portfolio by removing some of the weaker performing beverages.

Per the beverage company, the realignment will stop manufacturing Coca-Cola Life, Diet Coke Feisty Cherry, the TaB diet sodas and ZICO coconut water. In terms of regional market drinks, Northern Neck Ginger Ale, Delaware Punch, Japan’s Vegibeta, and Brazil’s Kuat will also be put to rest.

We’re challenging ourselves to think differently about our brands to accelerate our transformation to a total beverage company. This isn’t about paring down to a specific number of product offerings under our brands. The objective is to drive impact and growth. It’s about continuing to follow the consumer and being very intentional in deciding which of our brands are most deserving of our investments and resources, and also taking the tough but important steps to identify those products that are losing relevance and therefore should exit the portfolio.

In addition to making portfolio changes, Coca-Cola is looking into its bottling and packaging in order to further enhance business efficiency. “We’re prioritizing bets that have scale potential across beverage categories, consumer need states and drinking occasions,” Coetzer added. “Because scale is the algorithm that truly drives growth.”

21 Savage and Metro Boomin’s Savage Mode II gets a chopped and screwed version courtesy of Slim K, by way of Houston-based pioneer, OG Ron C and Chopstars. Having a “ChopNotSlop” treatment for a an album is common amongst artists from the south on the underground scene but became popular once mainstream artists like Drake began to hop on board. Popular Houstonians like OG Ron C as well as DJ Michael “5000” Watts have taken on the task of preserving the late DJ Screw’s “slowed” technique.

Savage Mode II continues to climb charts after debuting at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The album has put every song on the Hot 100 as well. Check out the album below.

Lucien Clarke’s Louis Vuitton “A View” Skate Shoe

An official look at pro-skater Lucien Clarke’s upcoming Louis Vuitton “A View” skate shoe has just been unveiled after being teased this past summer.

The Lucien Clarke x Louis Vuitton “A View” skate shoe will come in three colorways, all-black with orange hits, an all-white with orange hits and lastly an all blue colorway. Materials used for each silhouette feature a combination of technical textiles and calf leather along with a foam and polyurethane sole.

Louis Vuitton Creative Director Virgil Abloh played a huge part in the creation of the shoe. It seems Abloh is trying to merge high fashion and skating together in hopes of obtaining the same influence that streetwear has had on the sport.

Sada Baby‘s “Whole Lotta Choppas” has blown up over the last few weeks and has even gone viral on social media, being featured on several TikTokers videos. The Detroit rapper has definitely put in the time and ground work to see the success of the popular smash which is well-deserved.

Virgil Abloh Gives Out “Free Game” With Mentorship Series

Releasing today on Virgil Abloh’s website is the Off-White creator’s “Free Game” mentorship series. This series is an extension of Abloh’s Post-Modern Scholarship initiative, resulting in the designer creating a scholarship for Black creatives.

The “Free Game” series is free of charge and features a dedicated webpage of several YouTube links Abloh has chosen relating to the process of starting a brand. The result hopes to encourage a greater initiative to “supply Black students an education in fashion.”

Warren Lotas Addresses Nike’s Lawsuit Over Knockoff SB Dunks

The internet was sent into a frenzy after several Nike SB knockoffs were released. The result caused creator of the shoes, Warren Lotas, to be sued by Nike.

Some of the shoes have a striking resemblance to Nike’s “Heineken” and “Stussy” colorways and Jeff Staple even co-signed the “Pigeon” knockoff which was more than likely the final nail in the coffin as it lit social media up. Even though the shoes have a slight alteration to separate them from Nike, you can clearly see where the inspiration for the design comes from.

Nike has enlisted a Los Angeles federal judge order for the halt to Lotas’ manufacturing of the sneakers as well as stoppages to all sales. Along with the order, the suit will address “any and all profits earned as a result of WL’s acts in violation of Nike’s rights.”

Warren Lotas intentionally created the confusion, and he is attempting to capitalize on it, by, among other things, using Nike’s registered Dunk word mark, using Nike’s registered Dunk trade dress, and using a mark that is confusingly similar to Nike’s famous Swoosh design to promote and sell his fakes.

Michael B. Jordan Will Produce A Static Shock Film For DC

Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment have come to an agreement to develop a Static Shock feature film. Actor and producer Michael B. Jordan will serve as producer for the project via his Outlier Society production company.

Static Shock is an American superhero animated television series based on the Milestone Media/DC Comics superhero Static and was created by Dwayne McDuffie. The show first premiered on September 23, 2000, on the WB Television Network’s Kids’ WBprogramming block. Virgil Hawkins is the main character who uses the secret identity of ‘Static’ after being exposed to a mutagen gas during a gang fight which gave him electromagnetic powers.

Trailer For “NINE DAYS” Starring Zazie Beats and Winston Duke

Nine Days was well-received and considered the best film at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. This film tells a unique and complex story starring Winston Duke, Zazie Beetz, Benedict Wong, Tony Hale, Bill Skarsgård, David Rysdahl, and Arianna Ortiz.

Nike LeBron 18 “Melon Tint”

LeBron James won his 4th ring, and the Lakers’ 17th title, in a pair of Nike LeBron 18’s in an all-over orange hue. The on-feet look the King gave had many flocking to the internets trying to find more info on the head-turning kicks.

The shoes in question happen to be the Nike LeBron 18 “Melon Tint.” James sported the kicks in game 6 of the NBA Finals and later secured the NBA championship as well as becoming Finals MVP. No other info of the sneakers have been released at this time but we’re sure there will be a release sooner than later. Check back for more info.
