Netflix Announces ‘The Umbrella Academy’ Season 2

The Umbrella Academy Season two promo video has just been released by Netflix along with a July 31 premier date. Season one was full of action, drama and unexpected turns which left fans wondering when season two would drop.

For those unfamiliar with the show, The Umbrella Academy is about 43 infants inexplicably born in 1989 on the same day. Seven of the infants are adopted by a billionaire who created The Umbrella Academy and grooms them to be super heroes. Each child has special powers and that’s only the beginning.

The series is based on the Dark Horse Comics created and written by Gerard Way and illustrated by Gabriel Bá.

Trailer For Judd Apatow’s ‘The King of Staten Island’ Starring Pete Davidson

The trailer below introduces Scott, who is played by Pete Davidson, a 24-year old man who lives at home and down on his luck ever since the death of his firefighter father.

With his younger sister (Maude Apatow) going away to college, his mother (Marisa Tomei) starts to date a new guy (Bill Burr). Things take a turn for the worst when Davidson’s character finds out the man his mother is dating is also a firefighter.

Trailer For J.J. Abrams And Jordan Peele’s HBO Horror Series LOVECRAFT COUNTRY

Based on Matt Ruff ‘s 2016 novel of the same name, Lovecraft Country follows Atticus Freeman (Jonathan Majors), his friend Letitia (Jurnee Smollett-Bell) and his Uncle George (Courtney B. Vance) as they road trip across 1950s Jim Crow America in search of his missing father (Michael Kenneth Williams). “This begins a struggle to survive and overcome both the racist terrors of white America and the terrifying monsters that could be ripped from a Lovecraft paperback.”

Lovecraft Country is executive produced by Misha Green, J.J. Abrams, Jordan Peele, Bill Carraro, Yann Demange, Daniel Sackheim and David Knoller; based on the novel by Matt Ruff.

Kevin Durant Premiers Documentary ‘BASKETBALL COUNTY: In The Water’

Kevin Durant, via partnership with Showtime, has dropped off the official trailer for the upcoming documentary, BASKETBALL COUNTY: In The Water.

This doc is co-executive produced by Durant himself along with Victor Olapido and Quinn Cook. BASKETBALL COUNTY focuses on Durant’s hometown of Prince George’s County, Maryland, which has produced many professional basketball players including Olapido, Cook, Jeff Green, Michael Beasley, Markelle Fultz, and Marissa Coleman.

Lebron James Shares Top Billing With Bugs Bunny In Space Jam 2

LA Lakers star Lebron James has just shared an image of the Space Jam 2 logo. The new logo plays on the aesthetics of the original for added nostalgia while also giving a fresh new update. James also took to Instagram to share of video of himself wearing a hat with the same logo design with the caption “2021.” Lebron and the rest of the Looney Tunes will star in Space Jam 2 next year.

Russo Brothers Present ‘Extraction’ Starring Chris Hemsworth For Netflix

The Russo brothers, who are famously known for directing Avengers: Endgame and other titles for Marvel, bring you their latest offering with Extraction. This crime- thriller was written by Joe Russo and produced by Joe and brother Anthony Russo, and is directed Sam Hargrave.

Synopsis:

Tyler Rake (Chris Hemsworth) is a fearless black market mercenary who embarks on the deadliest mission of his career when he’s enlisted to rescue the kidnapped son of an international crime lord. Directed by Sam Hargrave, this action-packed, edge-of-your-seat thriller is produced by Joe and Anthony Russo, the visionary directors of Avengers: Endgame.

New Trailer For Sam Raimi’s ’50 States of Fright’ Series On Quibi

Quibi seems to be gaining momentum in the streaming wars after announcing several impressive programs lately. The streaming platform has already announced that Punk’d will be coming back, hosted by Chance The Rapper along with movies like Survive starring Sophie Turner.

Now, Quibi has just released a teaser trailer for its horror anthology, 50 States of Fright. This series is executive produced by Sam Raimi and will showcase local urban legends from different cities in the U.S.

Disney Reschedules Marvel’s Phase 4 Lineup

As the whole entertainment industry tries to find some form of normalcy despite the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic making it extremely hard to, Disney has determined the rescheduling of its Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 4 release lineup. Judging by the Marvel Studios‘ calendar, it seems as though the upcoming films have been pushed back a few months.

Black Widow is all set to be released on November 6th, 2020, which will be replacing The Eternals. The Eternals will now drop on February 12th, 2021, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings comes out on May 7th, 2021, Doctor Strange 2 will release on November 5th, 2021 and Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to release on February 18, 2022. Black Panther 2’s schedule remains the same and releases on May 8th, 2022, while Captain Marvel 2 is set for July 8, 2022.
