Warner Bros. To Release All 2021 Movies On HBO Max

Warner Bros. Just shocked the whole entertainment industry by announcing that all of its 2021 movies will simultaneously release on HBO Max as well as in theaters on the same day.

https://youtu.be/bGy16GQHz-g

The full HBO Max 2021 movie range will include blockbusters like The Little Things, Judas and the Black Messiah, Tom & Jerry, Godzilla vs. Kong, Mortal Kombat, Those Who Wish Me Dead, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It, In The Heights, Space Jam: A New Legacy, The Suicide Squad, Reminiscence, Malignant, Dune, The Many Saints of Newark, King Richard, Cry Macho and Matrix 4.

We’re living in unprecedented times which call for creative solutions. We know new content is the lifeblood of theatrical exhibition, but we have to balance this with the reality that most theaters in the U.S. will likely operate at reduced capacity throughout 2021.

Ann Sarnoff, chair and CEO of WarnerMedia Studios and Networks Group

This move from the film giant could change the landscape of the way movies are viewed drastically. AMC theaters have already expressed dissatisfaction of the decision, stating that even though rules were changed for “Wonder Woman 1984” with the ongoing pandemic still going on, they see things changing for the better with the announcement of a vaccine coming to fruition.

Drake And Nike Announce NOCTA Fashion Line

After years of working together, collaborating on different sneaker projects, Drake and Nike have officially announced a new collaborative partnership called NOCTA.

Following Drake’s Certified Lover Boy merch, NOCTA represents Drake’s nocturnal creative process as well as the streetwear scenes of Toronto, London and Paris. In addition to announcing the collection, the Toronto native penned an open letter explaining his inspiration for the project.

This moment is full circle for me.

I mean, growing up Nike was everything. It felt like every shoe I wanted, every athlete I liked, everything I owned was Nike. It didn’t mean anything unless it had a Swoosh.

I remember watching all these athletes repping Nike — each doing the unthinkable — and how inspiring it was. I always felt like there was an opportunity for Nike to embrace an entertainer the same way they had athletes. I thought about how crazy it would have been and what it would have meant for an artist to have a flagship Nike deal.

NOCTA is a realization of all these thoughts and everything I had hoped for — from the culture it’s rooted in to the product and, most important, to the partnership and scale that allows me to share it with the world.

NOCTA is about creating something for people on the move. People who want functional, comfortable fits that are adaptable from one environment to the next.

But as much as it’s about what we make, it’s also about a mindset: an unforgiving drive, a relentlessness. Characterized by the type who are on the road all day, all night — the grinders, the hard workers — trying to accomplish their goals and taking no short cuts.

That mindset also includes loyalty and team. Whether you are in Toronto, London or Paris, there’s this uniform look — Nike Tech Fleece, the gloves, the hat — and it has a real team feel. I wanted to take a piece of that culture that I grew up with, that school of thought, and bring the best to it. With NOCTA, we were trying to make the hardest jacket, the hardest tracksuit, the hardest gloves. Just the best of that world.

This opportunity is something that I’ve been waiting on for a really long time. To be associated with the highest level possible — that was always my goal. We put in a lot of hard work, a lot of man and woman hours, during the last two years. To see it all coming to fruition starts an exciting new chapter in my life.

Head over to the NOCTA website for more info and expect this collaborative effort to release at Nike on December 18.

All PlayStation 5s Have Been Sold According To Sony CEO Jim Ryan

It seems Sony has underestimated the demand for PlayStation 5s as the company is finding it hard to meet consumer wants on a global scale. The overall disaster from pre-order sales should’ve have been a clear indicator of the chaos that would ensue.

More and more people are adhering to social distancing measures and staying home which greatly impacted the sell of Sony’s next-gen console in terms of customer demand. Speaking to Russian news agency TASS, Sony Interactive Entertainment CEO Jim Ryan has now confirmed a gamer’s worst fears that all PlayStation 5s produced so far have already been sold.

“Everything is sold. Absolutely everything is sold… I’ve spent much of the last year trying to be sure that we can generate enough demand for the product. And now in terms of my executive bandwidth, I’m spending a lot more time on trying to increase supply to meet that demand.”

Jim Ryan on PS5 availability

Ryan also discussed the difficulties of releasing a next-gen console in the middle of a pandemic.

“Of all the things that I’ve learned this year, one is that I wouldn’t plan on doing another big console launch in the midst of a global pandemic, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody else. It’s been difficult, it’s been challenging from the production side, not being able to get anybody into the factories in Asia… Before we started production, we had to do all the manufacturing preparation by camera remotely. I mean, just imagine that for a precision device like the PlayStation 5.”

The Air Jordan 11 Adapt Celebrates The 25th Anniversary Of The XI And Its Self-Lacing

Continuing its 25th Anniversary celebration of the Air Jordan 11, Jordan Brand has created a first for the silhouette, infusing it with Nike Adapt self-lacing tech. Just like it’s predecessors in the Adapt family such as the Adapt BB 2.0 and Adapt Auto Max, the Air Jordan 11 “Adapt” uses an App to tighten and loosen the laces or through the use of buttons at the mid foot.

For the most part, the overall silhouette stays true to the 11’s aesthetic with a few minor adjustments. A translucent layer covers the upper portion of the sneaker including the lace eyelet area as well as the Jumpman logo at the heel. Instead of regular laces, thin cords have been equipped as part of Adapt technology’s lock-down device. Tinker Hatfield’s sketches remain true in terms of the colorway he originally used as well as an icy sole that rounds out the look.

Be on the look out for the Air Jordan 11 “Adapt” to drop on December 30.
