Actor Chadwick Boseman Has Passed Away After Battle With Colon Cancer

Chadwick Boseman, star of “Black Panther” and “42” has sadly passed away after a four year battle with colon cancer.

The majority of movie-goers most notably know Boseman from the Disney/ Marvel Studios film franchises such as Black Panther and Avengers, but Boseman’s extensive film career has seen the actor play iconic roles like Black American icons Jackie Robinson in “42” and James Brown in “Get on Up.”

Boseman worked through his cancer treatments and never spoke about his diagnosis which started around the time he played NCAAP lawyer and Supreme Court justice Thurgood Marshall, in 2017’s “Marshall.” Boseman’s most recent appearance was in the Spike Lee film and Vietnam War drama “Da 5 Bloods,” and this year he will appear with Viola Davis in “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom,” which is an adaptation of the August Wilson play, directed by George C. Wolfe.

Survived by his wife and family, Chadwick Boseman was 43.

Big Sean “Deep Reverence” Ft. Nipsey Hussle | Audio

As Big Sean preps for the release of his much anticipated Detroit 2 album, he gives us a taste of what the direction of the project will be with “Deep Reverence.”

For the track, the Detroit rapper recruited the help of fellow rapper and LA legend Nipsey Hussle before he passed. An audio clip from Nip can be heard at the end of the track where he states how he always wanted to work with Big Sean.

NBA Teams Boycott Playoff Games To Protest Jacob Blake Shooting

The shooting of Jacob Blake on August 23 has literally set the world ablaze. As a result of the events, and to further emphasize Black Lives Matter, the Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic have boycotted their August 26 game. Following in solidarity are four more teams to boycott, the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Lakers and Portland Trail Blazers. The Athletic reporter Shams Charania confirmed that the NBA has decided to postpone all of the games for August 26 to further discuss a course of action with NBA teams and reps.

For those unaware, there was video shot in Kenosha, Wisconsin, this past weekend that shows Jacob Blake attempting to break up a domestic dispute. The video then shows Kenosha police arriving on the scene, followed by Blake returning to his car, opening the door to enter and then being shot multiple times in the back, at point blank range by police. The 29-year old Blake currently in the hospital, is believed to be paralyzed.

The NBA states that games will be rescheduled and no team’s protest would result in forfeit.

DC FanDome: The Batman | Official Trailer

The official trailer to The Batman premiered during DC FanDome and gave more details as to what the film would be about.

The film picks up about a year or two into Bruce Wayne being Batman and touches a little on his origin. The trailer also shows a fight sequence so brutal that it could give Affleck’s Batman a run for his money. The riddler seems to be the main villain with The Penguin making an emergence also. We also see Zoe Kravitz’s take on her Cat Woman character.

The film is directed by Matt Reeves and hits theaters on October 1, 2021.

Burberry Unveils Antimicrobial Face Masks

Burberry has joined the crusade to create face masks for the on-going pandemic. The masks combine the iconic Burberry check pattern with antimicrobial technology. Each face mask is made from revalued fabric, and will come in either “Archive Beige” or “Pale Blue” colorway.

Materials of the masks have been enhanced using antimicrobial technology and provide Particle Filtration Efficiency. A matching travel pouch that is also equipped with antimicrobial technology accompanies each mask.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of each mask will be donated to the Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund. The Burberry Foundation COVID-19 Community Fund provides PPE and works with food banks and healthcare charities globally.

Civilist collabs with Nike on a subtle, yet colorful SB Dunk Low. Seems as though after teases here and there from the Berlin-based brand, the finished product is officially ready to be released.

At a glance, the pair resembles a subtle appearance with a full black upper as well matching accents. When exposed to heat, these sneakers feature a colorful pattern that is reminiscent of a heat map. The colors are temporarily displayed as long as they’re exposed to heat but vanish as soon as the sneakers find a cool spot. Katt Williams Brings His Talents To Supreme In New Commercial

Supreme’s new video has been garnering a lot of attention and rightfully so as they’ve gotten Katt Williams to star in it. Williams is seen in a Tekashi 6ix9ine rainbow hair unit, two-piece suit and a Supreme box logo t-shirt. The spot is close to seven minutes long and lets the legendary comedian shine in his natural element as he talks about current events.

Williams touches on the president’s inability to run the country, Black Lives Matter and the COVID-19 pandemic. Things get more intense when discussing the George Floyd murder at the hands of Minneapolis police and the civil unrest it has caused. Check out the video above.

What was once a Japanese exclusive back in 2001, the Nike Dunk Low “Samba” will now be arriving on August 21st. The official images in the gallery below show that this silhouette will mirror its predecessor, making for one of the most sought-after releases of 2020.

The “Samba” features a two-toned upper composed of a silver and hyper blue colorway and showcases a carbon fiber material on the Swoosh and heel-tab. Just like the majority of Dunks released this year, we predict that the “Samba” will sell out as soon as they drop.
