Nike To Donate 32,500 Pairs Of Air Zoom Pulse To Healthcare Workers

In the ongoing battle against the COVID-19 pandemic, numerous companies, brands, celebrities and athletes have stepped up to do their part to help either through charity or being hands on.

The Swoosh brand has been doing what they can to help fight this crisis with the latest being to help those on the frontlines. Nike has recently announced that it will be donating 32,500 pairs of their Nike Air Zoom Pulse sneakers to healthcare workers. The shoes will hit cities such as Barcelona, Chicago, Laakdal, London, Los Angeles, Memphis, Milan, New York and Paris as the first initiative to support the ones risking their lives to keep us safe from COVID-19.

Nike LeBron 7 “Media Day”

The Nike LeBron 7 played a very pivotal role in basketball sneaker design as it infused Air Max technology along with a FlyWire upper. Now, King James’ 7th signature shoe gets another colorway, this time in a Lakers theme.

The Nike LeBron 7 ‘Media Day’ gets its name from the Los Angeles Lakers Media Day for their 2019-2020 season in which James wore the colorway of his current team and 16-time champions.

Slam Jam x Nike Dunk High

Nike will be lending their Nike Dunk High silhouette to Italian streetwear boutique Slam Jam for a collaboration on the iconic sneaker.

Credit goes to @py_rates_ for the renders as no official images have been released yet. Speculation is that the Slam Jam x Nike Dunk High will release in two colorways of a “White/Clear-Pure Platinum” and “White/Clear-Black.” Expect both Nike and Slam Jam branding to be featured on the shoe as well.

The Slam Jam x Nike Dunk High is expected to release this Fall 2020 for $120 USD.

Nike Kobe 5 Protro “Bruce Lee” Revealed In New Colorway

It seems Nike is pulling back on releasing any products and apparel related to Kobe Bryant out of respect for the late and future NBA Hall of Famer. Being that Nike’s Kobe-related products are at a standstill, leaves plenty of room to speculate on upcoming releases with one hopefully being a new colorway of the Kobe 5 Protro. This basketball silhouette has now been unveiled in a new alternate “Bruce Lee” colorway.

Glossy black panels on the mid-foot and toe cap over a white leather base make up the majority of this silhouette. A lot of subtleties of the sneaker pays homage to the 1973 cult class film ‘Enter The Dragon.’ Hits of yellow on the heel tab can be seen as a representation of Kobe’s resilience as he over cane his achilles injury.

Is The 7-Eleven X Nike SB Dunk Low A Real Thing?

Images have surfaced, showing a potential collab between convenience store chain 7-Eleven and Nike SB. The collab is in the form a special SB Dunk Low which would follow in line of other impressive partnerships with Travis Scott, StrangeLove Skateboards and the new Ben & Jerry’s silhouettes.

This sneaker is comprised of all leather with orange displayed predominantly on the heel, red on the toe area and green on the midfoot. These hues displayed together make up the aesthetics for the 7-Eleven brand and even features 7-Eleven’s logo embroidered on the lateral heel. The white Swoosh makes the SB standout as it is showcased over the tri-colored palette, accompanied by a white padded tongue and gum midsole. Just like with most Nike SB’s, these sneakers will come with more than one lace option that matches with the colorway as well.

Nike SB Dunk Low “Laser Orange”

We’ve seen numerous images on the wire concerning Nike’s many collaborations, but now the brand wants to shine some light on their tried and true general release stable. This May, Nike will prep for the release of their “Laser Orange” Dunk Low.

The light orange hue shows up on the toe, sides and heel area, leaving a navy blue Swoosh to standout over a white background. This silhouette is equipped with suede constructions mixed with a leather base. Nike SB branding is shown on the tongue, matching the midsoles.

Air Jordan 4 “Metallic Orange” | Release Date

The Air Jordan 4 gears up to release its ‘Metallic Orange’ colorway as part of the “Metallic Pack” capsule.

This month will see the debut of the ‘Metallic Orange’ silhouette which is slated for a world wide release on May 16. This sneaker features a minimalistic all white upper, equipped with metallic orange accents.

Nike SB Dunk High “Strawberry Cough”

After revealing the ‘420’ SB Dunk High, aka Reverse Skunks, the Swoosh brand comes back with details of the upcoming Nike SB Dunk High ‘Strawberry Cough.’

Just like the Reverse Skunks, this colorway pays homage to cannabis, and more particularly the strain of the same name. Features include an upper made up of hits of red and green with the latter occupying most of the heel area. The forefoot holds mostly hits of red, making the silhouette look like a strawberry featuring dotted accents on the sides. Rounding out the rest of the details are the icy blue midsole and the coughing strawberry insignia at the heel area.

Nike Adapt Auto Max “Infrared”

Self-lacing sneakers have been sought after ever since that iconic moment when Marty McFly first debuted what is now called the Nike Air Mag sneaker in Back to the Future II. Nike’s Adapt models have definitely shown promise as the line features a self-lacing system. Nike carries on the tradition with the new Nike Adapt Auto Max ‘Infrared.’ which is quite possibly the closest reimagining of the Air Mag we’ve seen thus far.

The Adapt Auto Max features a majority synthetic grey upper with protruding molds throughout, matched with a dark grey Swoosh. The standout piece happens to be the enlarge infrared heel that wraps around to the midsole.
