Official Look At The Nike LeBron 7 “MVP”

After playing 17 seasons in the NBA, it’s safe to say LeBron James has an impressive list of signature sneakers that have come out over the years. What’s so great for sneaker heads and fans alike, is the fact that we occasionally could see some of our favorite past sneakers get retro’d. Nike is gearing up to release another colorway from the 2009-2010 season in the Nike LeBron 7 “MVP.”

The Nike LeBron 7 “MVP” features a palette of maroon, white and gold that goes along with his days as Cleveland Cavalier. June 26 seems to be the release date at a price point of $200 USD.

First Look At The Air Jordan 12 “Stone Blue”

The Air Jordan 12 “Stone Blue” was teased earlier this year as one of the silhouettes in Jordan Brand’s Summer 2020 lineup. Sneaker connoisseur @zsneakerheadz has now given us a first look at some images courtesy of his Instagram page.

The Air Jordan 12 “Stone Blue” definitely gives off some “Obsidian” vibes as it features a dark blue upper, complimented by a white midsole and white leather mudguard. August 8 seems to be the release date and can be purchased on the Nike SNKRS app as well as select Nike retailers $190 USD.

Run The Jewels Drops “RTJ4”

For their fourth installment in their Run The Jewels series, Killer Mike and El-P are putting the racist police states on notice. The duo takes you on a ride, evading 12, and we get to ride shotgun on this effortless display of bars and thought provoking dialogue that’s very necessary in this climate.

RTJ 4 seems like the soundtrack of the last few years especially more recently with the unjust deaths of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, and that’s just for 2020. Killer Mike references Eric Garner on the track ‘walking in the snow’ which can now apply to George Floyd as black men who have died at the hands of police brutality.

Features include a carbon nanofiber composite baseplate that was molded at a temperature of 2,000˚C to ensure stability from a mechanical, physical, and chemical standpoint. The timepiece is finished off with a sturdy titanium chain and matching desk stand.

Take a detailed look at Richard Mille’s RM 020 Tourbillon Pocket Watch above. There’s no pricing info as of now but more info can be found at Richard Mille’s official website.

In an effort to stand against racism, Pokémon Go developer Niantic has just announced that it will donate a minimum of $5 million USD from its Pokémon Go Fest ticket sales this year to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Niantic head John Hanke states via Twitter and the company’s blog, that “Half of the proceeds donated will be used to fund new projects from Black gaming and AR creators that can live on the Niantic platform, with the ultimate goal of increasing content that represents a more diverse view on the world.” “The other half will go to U.S. nonprofit organizations that are helping local communities rebuild.”

Hanke also relayed that the company will also commit to apprenticeships that could lead to permanent positions, allyship training, scholarships and other employee efforts.

Lastly, a separate $100,000 USD will be donated by Niantic as well as matching employee contributions to the Marsha P. Johnson Institute to support the Black trans community. “We are committed to this cause, these initiatives don’t end with an announcement,” Hanke wrote.

The work to follow through will require years of effort to yield the impact we seek. The heart of Niantic is our community of players. It is imperative that we stand up to support our Black Trainers, Agents, and Wizards. We aim to be a force of change committed to the long road ahead of rebuilding a more just and fair system where all are welcomed, valued, and have a fair chance at success.

Nike Inc. To Donate $40 Million To Black Communities

With the recent murders of George Floyd, Ahmaud Arbery and Breonna Taylor, many people and corporations are getting an awakening of the harsh penalties the black community is faced to deal with at the hands of police brutality and outright racist behavior.

Millions of people have been brought together in the form of protest and solidarity to defiantly deny racism and to demand justice. Many big brands are coming forth to show support as well by donating time and making monetary donations as well as setting forth initiatives to help the black community.

Nike, Jordan Brand, and Converse have committed $40 million over the next four years to organizations within the Black community to “put social justice, education, and addressing racial inequality in America at the center of their work.”

We know Black Lives Matter. We must educate ourselves more deeply on the issues faced by Black communities and understand the enormous suffering and senseless tragedy racial bigotry creates.
